PODremit enables proxy payments — meaning someone else can pay on your behalf in real time. A recipient selects a merchant (either in-store or online) and initiates a payment request through PODremit. The payer receives an instant notification, approves the request, and the funds are securely transferred either directly to the merchant (if onboarded) or held in escrow until settlement. Both the payer and recipient get a confirmation once the transaction is complete.

A transaction can start in two ways:

• Recipient-Initiated (Pull Flow): The recipient selects a verified merchant or scans their QR code to request payment from a remote payer.
• Payer-Initiated (Push Flow): The payer creates a Spend Authorization Token (SAT) in advance, defining the approved amount, merchant, and expiration period.

Once the payer approves or generates the SAT, funds are securely locked in escrow and tied to that merchant. When the merchant fulfills the order or service, payment is released instantly— in-store or online — with confirmation sent to both payer and recipient.

Basic transactions are free for users, with minimal service fees applied to merchants and select premium features.

These fees help maintain security, escrow management, and instant settlement infrastructure. All charges are clearly displayed before approval — no hidden costs or surprise deductions.

Your funds remain protected in escrow under the Spend Authorization Token (SAT) until the merchant confirms fulfillment. If delivery or service fails to occur within the SAT’s validity period, the transaction automatically expires and refunds the payer. This ensures full accountability, transparent dispute handling, and peace of mind for both parties.
